There is a small and very shy red fox that lives in the wooded area behind the press. Every day, when it is not rainy or too cold, I sit against the wall on my break, waiting for this little fellow to peer out from the leaves.
I know he's there because I've seen him three times. He's probably the size of a large cat…but that gorgeous face and tail! Maybe (like the two very curious fawns weeks ago, who slowly, slowly inched their way closer until they were only a few steps away, watching me with those big eyes) he won't be so shy. I just want to see him, though not too close, once.
