The third and fourth coloring sheets above were inspired by the commissioned works of composers Kevin Leysath II (Red Tail Visions) and Alyssa Rodriguez (Kalevala
for Kids) that the Irondequoit Community Orchestra performed at a series of children’s
concerts in Rochester, NY in November 2022 and May 2025.
The program, called We Write Orchestra Music!, was an effort to engage with and
demonstrate to Rochester-area children that people of all ages, backgrounds, and communities can write and perform classical music.
